Goshen man fires shots at family dog, arrested Sunday

first_img (“Handcuffs” by Victor, CC BY 2.0) A Goshen man was arrested Sunday after firing his gun at the family dog.Police were called to the 300 block of West Wilden Avenue on reports of a domestic disturbance where they learned Pedro Hernandez, 29, had allegedly physically injured his 40-year-old girlfriend. She had minor injuries to her neck, but refused medical treatment.Her 20-year-old daughter, who also lives at the home, told police she had been intimidated by Hernandez after he threated to shoot the dog. He reportedly fired shots at the dog, but the dog was not injured.Hernandez left in his girlfriend’s car, but was located by police at Elkhart and Greene roads where he was arrested. He faces charges of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, Domestic Battery and Driving While Suspended.
