HARPS GET OFF TO SOLID START WITH SHARE OF SPOILS AGAINST SHELS

first_imgBattling Finn Harps earned a 0-0 draw against Shelbourne in Dublin this evening on a night when they could have got off to the perfect start. Both sides had their chances but it could have been Olllie Horgan’s team which could have earned all three points.Shelbourne will be fancied by many to make it out of the First Division this year. But Harps with on-loan signing Ruairi Keating again looking lively up front, didn’t look any way out of the depth.Phil Hughes and Tony McNamee swapped chances.Thomas McMonagle’s header could easily have gone in to give Harps the lead before it was cleared to safety in the 66th minute. But the best chance fell to Damian McNulty who just shot wide of the target at the back post as the game edged towards the final whistle. Harps will be happy with a share of the spoils to settle the early season nerves.A win against new Dublin outfit Cabinteely at Finn Park next Friday will give them a real boost. HARPS GET OFF TO SOLID START WITH SHARE OF SPOILS AGAINST SHELS was last modified: March 7th, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
