The Nokia X6 has been one of the most popular phones from HMD Global this year. By popular, we mean the sheer number of Nokia fans who want to see this phone launch outside of China. The company has confirmed already that it will be launching the Nokia X6 globally, but for weeks there has been no information about its global release. However, come July 19, the Nokia X6 could finally see its global launch when it goes official in Hong Kong. While HMD is yet to confirm the Nokia X6 global launch on July 19, a report out of Hong Kong cites an inside source who claims the phone will be announced later this month. The Nokia X6 has risen in popularity for its premium-looking design that includes an all-glass body and a notched display, at an affordable mid-range price point. While there is no word on whether the phone will reach the Indian market, its Hong Kong debut is a sign that the company is ready to take the phone outside China.Additionally, the Nokia X6 may be called the Nokia 6.1 Plus outside China, although there is no confirmation on this yet. As HMD has promised that all its phones from Nokia 3 and upwards will be Android One phones, the Nokia X6 can also be expected to come with stock Android globally. In China, the phone comes with a custom Nokia skin on top of Android.NOKIA X6 DESIGN AND SPECSThe most notable aspect about the Nokia X6 is that it is the first Nokia phone to sport a display notch. The 5.8-inch FHD+ (1080×2280) TFT display comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio with over 85 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The Nokia X6 sports Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and back making up 95 per cent of the entire phone. The company says the glass body comes with a sleek frame and a compact form factor that makes it easy to hold.advertisementPowering the mid-range smartphone is a Snapdragon 636 chipset, similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Nokia X6 is offered with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with support for expandability up to 256GB via microSD card. Apart from a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the phone also supports face recognition. The dual-SIM Nokia X6 houses a 3,060mAh battery with support for fast charging and also supports Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.In terms of optics, the Nokia X6 brings a dual rear camera setup which includes a primary 16-megapixel sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor, which definitely looks more attractive compared to the Nokia 6.1 which comes with a single rear camera. Up front, you get a 16-megapixel sensor. The cameras get some AI support as well which helps improve image quality and bokeh effect.NOKIA X6 PRICEThe Nokia X6 has been priced in China starting at starting at CNY 1299 (approx Rs 13,800) for the 4G + 32GB variant, CNY 1499 (approx Rs 16,000) for the 4GB + 64GB model, and CNY 1699 (approx Rs 18,000) for the 6GB + 64GB version.
