first_imgAs part of the celebration of Tuscaloosa’s Bicentennial a museum exhibit is now on display, giving a glimpse into the city’s rich history.The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum is giving residents a glimpse into history with their Bank of the State exhibit series titled “Tuscaloosa and the Capital Period.” The exhibits are meant to show people just how much the city has to offer after being in existence for 200 years.“They need to come and see how Tuscaloosa became Tuscaloosa,” James Scott, an education assistant at the museum said. “And it really would showcase, I think a little bit of history that might be missing from a lot of people’s minds. It’s not just football, that it’s more; it’s a richer history than just the athletic situation.”The exhibit is open now and will close on May 18.last_img read more
