Much easier to leave it 75 and don’t enforce below 85, unless someone is driving su****iously. This gives police some flexibility. Also, how many thousands of dollars would it cost to change the law? Once limits start getting in the 80s the average speeds starts to follow the limit. Go to Texas or Wyoming. I go 82-83 and don’t pass many cars and don’t get passed either because most traffic is going the same speed. If Kansas wants to do this they should have added an amendment to the bill that lowered the threshold for getting point from 10 mph to 5 mph on roads with 80mph. Otherwise that 10mph buffer applies to other roads. Also increase the fines. Stricter buffer and higher fines will reduce speeders. No. 75 mph is fast enough. It should be reduced back to 70 mph. We should not have speed limits like Montana had in the 90s. View Resultslast_img read more
